Thue was in the leadership of Nordcham Vietnam from 2017 – 2023 – the last two years as chair. In this period, the chamber grew from 17 to 150 members, launched an office led by an Executive Director, and established itself as the most progressive and vibrant chamber of commerce in Vietnam. The chamber launched a series of business-focused activities like Work the Nordic Way, Nordic Business Awards, Nordic Business Briefings, the Nordic Hub, and advocacy support for Nordic companies.

Thue’s Vietnam experience goes back to the beginning of the 90s when he, as a 9-year-old, tried to open his first burger joint in Hue, in Central Vietnam.

He has over 20 years of experience in marketing, research, and consulting – 13 of this from Vietnam, where he co-founded and grew Epinion Vietnam, then Decision Lab.

He is a graduate of international business and politics from Copenhagen Business School and Hong Kong  University of Science and Technology.
