Since 2010, Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College has been offering a 4-year American Bachelor program through the Foreign Trade University. The degree has been accredited by national U.S. education body ACICS; the teaching language is English and the program is taught by both Vietnamese and Danish professors.
Now, on the almost ten year anniversary in Vietnam, Niels Brock are deepening their commitment to the country. The educator with 140 years of history has announced a plan to begin offering the International Business Baccalaureate to year 10, 11 and 12 students at a soon-to-be-established Ho Chi Minh City high school campus.
Developed and taught for the last 25 years in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Niels Brock IBB is an elite high school program for internationally-minded future leaders. It has a strong focus on business, language and culture, and includes a supervised international exchange.
Niels Brock President Mrs Anya Eskildsen explained further, “With our 140-year-old tradition of excellence in business-oriented academic education, we believe we have an important role to play in this sector in Vietnam. The Nordic style of learning constantly sets global benchmarks and is known to foster creativity, enhance soft skills and improve academic results. With a campus in Ho Chi Minh City, we will not only contribute to learning in Vietnam but also support our international programs in Copenhagen to ensure that we constantly evolve and provide a truly global learning experience.”
Niels Brock alumni and former Decision Lab director Mr Thue Quist Thomasen has joined as Vice President to facilitate the expansion in Vietnam and he added the following: “Vietnam is abundant in young entrepreneurial talent looking for inspiration and direction. With Niels Brock’s high school campus, we want to help foster the type of learning at an early stage that will help nurture young talent to take on the world and develop themselves into curious and talented leaders.”
