Just before the international trade fair VIETWATER 2018 takes place from November 7 to 9, 2018 in HCMC, EuroCham in cooperation with Water Solutions International e.V. is organizing a 2-day field trip to water and RE projects that have been implemented just recently in the Mekong Delta. The field trip combines visits to water and wastewater projects using solar energy and key infrastructure projects with meetings with local authorities.

The application of renewable energy sources is gaining ground in Vietnam. The excursion is going to high-light the first water supply and waste water treatment plants that are using solar energy for production and treatment. At the same time, the water treatment plant in Hau Giang, operated by a private company, is one of the biggest in South-East Asia.

The Provincial authorities have promulgated policies to encourage investment in the fields of water supply, waste water treatment and renewable energies, which will be introduced during the planned meetings with local authorities. Participants will have the chance to establish contacts to local decision makers and discuss project opportunities.
