You may be aware that more Vietnamese companies are looking at Singapore for setting up a hub to support their regional or global expansion plans. In recent years, there are interesting developments in the context of tax incentives schemes offered by the Singapore authorities to promote Singapore as an international hub to attract Foreign Direct Investment (“FDI”).  
 
Against the backdrop, it is becoming imperative for Vietnamese companies with existing or potential Singapore investments plans to understand and evaluate implications of these latest developments in context of their existing or future business plans.
 
We are pleased to have Mr Abhijit Ghosh (International Tax Partner, PwC Singapore) and Mr Gary Foo (International Tax Manager, PwC Singapore) in Vietnam to provide an update on these developments. Abhijit brings in over 27 years of experience and specialises in advising companies on structuring or expanding business operations in Singapore and Asia-Pac region. Their trip will be supported by the Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the government agency championing enterprise development.  ESG also supports the growth of Singapore as a hub for global trading and startups.  As the national standards and accreditation body, ESG also continues to build trust in Singapore’s products and services through quality and standards.
