Plastics: A Growing Concern – A Vietnam Perspective

September 4, 2019 @ 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

There will be more plastic than fish by 2050 if stakeholders keep ‘their businesses as usual’, a report at World Economic Forum cited. Dealing with waste and over-packaging of consumer goods are serious environmental issues for many countries, Vietnam included. This is a pressing concern in building business and marketing strategy for CPG corporates, packaging companies, plastic materials suppliers and alternative-to-plastic suppliers among others.

At “Plastic – A Growing Concern” event, our experts in business and marketing strategy will present key figures and insights encompassing this ubiquitous issue in ASEAN and Vietnam specifically. They will provide current status and look at the roles and initiatives from stakeholders within the value chain, then conclude about the threats and opportunities for businesses in Vietnam and in a higher level perspective of ASEAN.

Key topics to be covered include:

  • ASEAN consumers’ perspectives of plastic pollution.
  • The response of players in the plastic packaging value chain and the sustainability of what they have implemented.
  • How businesses can take leadership, demonstrate genuine change and develop meaningful brand differentiation.
